*Water bottles are permitted but MUST be the no spill type bottles! *

Finals and the End of the Year!

 

Congratulations on finishing the 2024-2025 school year.  It has been a wonderful year, and I have loved having each of you in class.  I pray that you grew in you walk with Christ and that you learned a little language along the way! 

I look forward to seeing you again next year.  

Have a wonderful summer.  Spend time with the Lord, and listen to His prompts for your life.  Make memories with your families and friends and try to spend a little less time on your phone, you never know, you may find you like not being tied to it!

Enjoy sleeping in, staying up late,
Putting off chores that you know can wait.

Go to the pool, the beach, or the lake—
Stop by Fat Eddie’s for a storm or a shake.

Walk through the grass, let the blades kiss your feet,
Creation is blooming—oh, summer is sweet.

Spend time with the Lord and listen for Him,
His still, small voice will never grow dim.

As the sun sets later and time slows down,
Thank God for the summer and all that’s around.

Sunshine and water, hot, warm air,
Vacations, festivals, and fresh garden fare.

Don’t waste your time—make each minute count,
Fall will come early, sneaking up like a mouse.

I’ll think of you often and pray for you too,
Make the most of your summer—we’ve got much to do!

Walking Field Trip

5th grade will be walking to Pizza Hut in Summersville, WV on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. In the event of inclement weather they will be transported by school transportation.

Permission Slips will be coming home Wednesday, May 14, 2025. Please return the signed permission slip by Tuesday, May 20, 2025 along with $10 per student. This will cover the cost of pizza, breadsticks, drinks and tip.

• Math Test 12 - Tuesday, May 13 Students need to complete Test Review on pages 213-214. If not completed in class it will be DUE the day of the test.

• Vocabulary Test (List 30) - Friday May 16

End-of-the-Year Party - Thursday, May 22

Bonus - DUE every Friday

Each week students can complete the following for bonus:

Spelling - write the spelling words 5 times each.

Vocabulary - write the word and the definition 2 times.

Bible - write the verse 5 times.

Reading - read an article on a current event or a Chapter in Psalms and write a paragraph about what you read.  

4 complete sentences.

 Students are to complete Language Lesson 140 homework on page 293 in their language book. 

Due: Friday, May 9th
